Isabella saw the Orthopaedic Specialist last week for that lump on her shin. It's not bone so she has to have an MRI to determine what it is. She is scheduled for that on the 24th. Because she is only 3, she will have to be sedated. :( The doctor did say that this is an area that is prone to bruising, so it could just be a stubborn bruise that isn't showing outside. If that's the case, it should disappear and we won't need the MRI. This is what I'm hoping for!!!
Sophie had her eye exam today. After how badly she bombed the clinic eye exam, I was expecting her to be half-blind. Thankfully, that is not the case. She does have Astigmatism and her vision is about 20/30 - 20/40, which puts her as borderline for needing glasses at this point. What the Ophthalmologist wants us to do is see how she does in school over the next week or so and if she seems like she's having a hard time seeing then go ahead and get the glasses. Otherwise, she goes back in a year.
Noah got to get his cast off today. Yay! He has to wear a splint for the next week with activity, but not at home, while he regains his strength and to make completely sure that it has healed properly. He had good range of movement and just a little pain, so that's all good! There were signs on the new x-rays that he did indeed crack the growth plate and a small buckle fracture to the outer wrist (that little bone that sticks out.) Since it appears to have healed properly, his growth shouldn't be affected. What a relief!
I should have news from my appointment in the next couple of days.
Both Jake & Dan are healthy. :D

Looks like mostly good news. Will keep fingers crossed that it remains and that things there calm down soon. Wow. Keep me updated on the rest of the test we are waiting on and how the healing process is going.
