Storm Damage

Monday night/Tuesday morning we were hit pretty hard by the storm. Unfortunately, we had left our windows open so we were mopping up water off the hardwood floor in the dark, because, you know, it would make way too much sense to actually keep the flashlights in the house. That was fun!

Our tallest, and Dan's favorite, tree fell,


taking the power lines right off the house with it.

Another tree of ours fell onto our neighbors house.



And one of his trees fell onto, and into, his neighbors house.


I feel so bad for him as he's been working on the second floor addition for the past couple of years and finally had it just about completed.

3 large branches fell right in front of Murphy's doghouse, which totally had me worried. I was crying so Dan went out and got him. Yay Dan! Murphy didn't seem to be bothered by the storm at all!

Check out Dan during his 5 seconds of fame! At first the news crew was talking to me, but when I saw they were taking out their cameras, I called Dan over to talk to them. No way was I going on TV looking like crap! LOL
